1.Verdigris Public Schools was established in 1908.

2.Verdigris lost its High School in 1947.

3. During WW2, Verdigris lost high school enrollment and became a K thru 8th grade independent district.

4. In 1980, Verdigris added a ninth grade and became an independent school district.

5. The Verdigris community passed 4th phase bond issue in 1997 to establish a new high school.
