Verdigris Public Schools received written confirmation at 10:00 am, Friday, September 4, 2015 - Physicians Remark:
"Viral meningitis, 0 bacterial organisms found."

Parents / Guardians,
It has come to our attention that a student in our school district is being treated for an unconfirmed case of Viral Meningitis. Viral Meningitis is typically treatable and not as serious as Bacterial Meningitis. Verdigris Public Schools has been in contact with the Rogers County Health Department. The District has taken, and will continue to take the appropriate steps in cleaning all buildings as a preventative measure to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Attached is a link to the Center for Disease Control and the Oklahoma State Department of Health. These links will provide additional information about Viral Meningitis. Again, please note that this is an unconfirmed case of Viral Meningitis.

Verdigris Public Schools will resume the 2015 school year on Thursday, August 13th. You can find the 2015-2016 School calendar here.
Reminder that school begins at 8:10. Your child is considered late to school if they are not in class by this time.
August 11th - Open House
August 13th - First day of classes for students
September 7th - Labor Day (No School)
October 9th - End of the First Quarter
The HS Awards Assembly will be on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 10:00am in the JH Gym.
HS Graduation will be Friday, May 15, 2015 at 7pm at the Claremore Expo Center. Doors will open at 6pm.
Congratulations to the Verdigris High School Jazz Band! They are the 3A State Champions!
No lunch charges will be accepted in the cafeteria beginning on Wednesday, April 15. All students must have accounts paid in full before they exit for the year.
Money left in your child's account will carry over to next year UNLESS you request a refund in writing by May 6th.
Verdigris High School begins state mandated End of Instruction testing on Monday, April 13. We are in need of volunteer test proctors for morning or afternoon sessions from April 13 through April 30. If you can volunteer for a morning or afternoon, please contact Alice Schneider by calling the high school office at (918) 266-2336.
